On football

My favourite Liverpool center-back is going to be a Scouser no more. :(

I've been following Zach Dundas' blog for quite some time now (he gets the beauty of brevity). Anyway, the other day he posted a link to an article on some foot-blog and I decided to check it out. This is the blog. There are some very very insightful posts in there. He has this 'column' where he draws(?) portraits of famous footballers. Absolutely brilliant stuff. Sample this.

For all the time he played at Arsenal, I loathed Thierry Henry. It was not that I could not see how brilliant he was. I loved the way he played, but since Arsenal was a Sith fortress, Henry had to be one of the Sith. All that changed when he moved to Barcelona. Henry had come back to the light.
And now they tell me he may not play on Wednesday. **##%$%

I want to post

I have nothing to say. At least I think I don't.
Aaargh. Just decide already.

What I need to do: Lie low.
I've been trying. But it's f***ing not working.

Question: Will dept. give extensions?
Big Question: Will I get an extension?

Issues, please get resolved.

And now, I will try to find that ruler. Bye

I love water polo

I've just returned from the pool, having lost 2-0 to Godav. The boys played really well, and I'd like to believe that both the goals were freak ones. Everyone thinks that for the team we had, we played really well, but I'm pissed with myself because Godav so easily got the better of us.

So it was strange when, after the initial sulking, I realised that I felt so contented. I love playing water polo. Or any sport for that matter. It is such a pure form of enjoyement. And that reminds me that it is all going to go away very soon :(

I've just started watching Any Given Sunday and the movie starts with one of those famous Vince Lombardi quotes and it reminds me of all those amazing amazing Inter IIT moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Here it is - (I just had to pause the movie :) )

I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.

Optimism

State:
Days before placements start. Few companies. Many people.
Yeah. Optimism.

Update:
Well, I was at neither of the extremes. I'm happy. It is an interesting job and I'm looking forward to it. But first, I have some stormy waters to navigate. 11 credits of stormy water.

And so, young Gofta has finally managed to patch through a post...
Hopefully, this blog will make his world a wee bit saner
